Safer Neighbourhood Report
Have you seen or heard of anyone using or carrying an air gun/BB gun in the Northwood area specifically near to the Village Green off Wyatts Lane? The reason being we had an incident where a cat was hit in its hind quarters by a projectile causing injury similar to a pellet wound.
The cat has been treated by the vet and fortunately the projectile did not enter its body but has just pierced the skin. The cat is okay and is running around like nothing has happened but the owner understandably was very shaken by the incident.
.
The summer has again been a quiet period. Only one crime of note had taken place, that being of criminal damage to a bus shelter in Nodes Road. There has been one domestic incident.
Police are concerned about the thefts from stables and outbuildings. Horse tack has disappeared and other property stolen.
Please always ensure that houses, stables and outbuildings are secured and do not leave items on display in vehicles. Can I please remind villagers that the police rely on information coming in from the public. If you see or hear something that seems suspicious, however small, please ring it in on 101.
.
I have a supply of No Cold Calling window stickers, paid for by the Parish Council, if anybody needs one. Ring 01983 281250.
.
Do not forget Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. You do not need to identify yourselves and the calls are not recorded.
