NORTHWOOD COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP REPORT

During the last month we have had much to celebrate, as a nation, with the success of our Olympians. Our congratulations go to everyone who made the event a great achievement for Great Britain. Hopefully it will inspire some of our younger residents to take up and enjoy a sport.

In August our Annual Local Northwood in Bloom competition was judged, to find our best front garden, best cottage garden and best hanging baskets / containers. It was a very difficult decision, as there are many lovely gardens within the village. The winners will be named in our next report.

The monthly Residents Events are still very popular and our various speakers have been very interesting. The August event was an outing to Brading Roman Villa.
We have been very lucky in securing a grant from the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Community Fund, to help continue these events for at least another year. So why don’t you come along to our next event, with your ideas on how we can continue and even improve these afternoons!!

The next meeting of the Northwood Community Partnership will be held on

The main subject of this meeting will be on holding a future Family Day for the village.

We have been approached by many people asking for another event

as they have enjoyed the last two we have held.

.

Representatives of many village organisations will be in attendance and we would like any Residents who have any ideas for the event or would like to participate in arranging this day, to come along, we would love to see you.
