NORTHWOOD COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP REPORT

Our March event was hosted Mr Derek Sprake, who gave us a very informative and entertaining talk on “Smugglers on the Isle of Wight.” He said that, in the past, members of his family were involved with hiding the contraband away from the law.

At our April Residents’ Event, we had a talk from a representative from the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. This was very interesting, hearing the distances they travel and the places they have to reach for the casualties. They can now land at St Mary’s hospital on the new helipad, which makes life easier for them.

A donation was given towards the excellent work of the Air Ambulance and their Crews.

The speaker at our next event (details below) is Debbie Flux from the Canine Partners, with her dog Angel and also may be able to bring a puppy under training. Please come and see what these remarkable dogs can do to help people.
