Denise Hunter, President, welcomed members to the meeting. Unfortunately, due to illness our speaker couldn’t make it to the meeting. We were going to have a quiz but members got chatting and there wasn’t any time left.

Birthday Cards were distributed to Josie White, Joan Hall and Mary White.

A Table Top Sale takes place this Saturday 7th February 2.00 until 4.00pm in our hall.
.
On Thursday the 19th February, which is usually the Art and Craft afternoon, we will be having a visit from Ability Dogs 4 Young People as they were unable to come to the January meeting due to bad weather conditions. The dogs will give a demonstration and the handlers will be presented with a cheque as they were our chosen charity for 2014.

On 11th March members will be having a guided tour of The Apollo Theatre, Newport followed by lunch at Wetherspoons “The Man in the Moon”.

Our Lunch and Games is being held on Thursday 9th April with a choice of either Cumberland Pie or Vegetable Moussaka both with mixed salad, desserts are a choice between Bread and Butter Pudding or Meringue Nests with mixed fruits and cream. The cost for this is £7.
.
Another date for us to look forward to is our Birthday Lunch at the Isle of Wight Technical Collage on the 23rd April. We are 89 this year.

Competition winners were for the Best Garden Bloom – Fay Bunday and there was a three-way tie for the best Home Made Valentine Card; they were Judeth Baker, Fay Bunday and Joan Furnell.

The meeting closed just before 4pm.
