Our event in March was a great success. We had a visit from Derek Needham, who is the Charity Manager, and staff from the Donkey Sanctuary complete with one of their residents. It was most enjoyable, hearing of their work and the amount of Donkeys they look after. Several residents decided to adopt a Donkey.

The Safer Neighbourhood team at Cowes Police Station are still making people aware of rogue traders still operating in our area and calls supposedly from your bank. Please be very careful of any Cold Calling at the door or on the phone. As we stated in last month’s report, if you are concerned, call the Trading Standards Office on 01983 823370 or the Police on 101.

The Community Partnership, the Parish Council and Volunteers, work very hard to keep the Village looking clean, tidy and full of flowers. It is a pity that someone has decided to dump their garden rubbish on one of the gardens, which has to now be removed by us. Also if you are a dog owner, please remember to pick up their faeces and dispose of it in a Dog Bin (there are several round the Village which are paid for by the Parish Council) or take it home for safe disposal. There are a lot of bags on the park and the gardens and this is not safe for anyone especially children. Please be respectful of our Village.
