NORTHWOOD COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP REPORT

Our November Residents Event was very entertaining – an interesting talk from Mr Mich. Jones. He dressed up in his uniform of a Yeoman Warder, (commonly known as a Beefeater) at the Tower of London. It was really an educational of the activities that are regularly carried at the Tower, including the “Ceremony of the Keys” and many other events. No one knew that there are 20 Towers in the Tower of London.

During the year we have had many interesting and informative speakers at our Events, which we have all enjoyed immensely. We will continue our Events during 2017, as listed below. For information, there will not be a Residents Event in December 2016 as we are holding our Christmas Lunch.

For information, the Cowes Police Station is closing on 27th November and is relocating to Cowes Fire Station.

Please be aware that this time of the year is susceptible to chance crimes e.g. burglaries. The Safer Neighbourhood Team wishes all residents to be aware and keep your homes secure. Also if you are aware of any resident who is vulnerable and might be in need of assistance, please advise the Police.
