Northwood W.I. Report

Report from our meeting held on Thursday 5th April 2018.

Anne Jonas welcomed members to the meeting. There were quite a few apologies due to illness.
.
Arrangements were made for the Jumble Sale with a lot of members volunteering to help.
.
Menus were given to members for our Birthday Lunch at the New Holmwood Hotel on the 24th May and invitations have been given to several other W.I.s.
.
Elisabeth Hamilton and Joyce Mace will attend the W.I. Annual Meeting at Northwood House in June also Elisabeth and Judeth Baker will go to the Treasurer’s workshop.
.
The Secretary’s/Treasurer’s reports were given.

After our break for tea, Hazel Breach gave a very interesting talk on the beginnings of the W.I. starting in Stoney Creek Canada. Hazel then went on to say how the W.I. developed up until 1918 and her next talk will continue the journey. The Vote of Thanks was given by Elisabeth Hamilton.
