NORTHWOOD COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP REPORT

At our last Residents Event we had a very interesting and instructive talk by Mr Mark O’Sullivan, from Age UK Isle of Wight. He told us about the work that the Volunteers are carrying out on the Island. Many are visiting the elderly and people who cannot get out, helping with shopping and tasks they are unable to do at their homes. They also take people out in cars for a treat or to go to the Doctors. There is a gentleman who will come out to your home to give help and explain about the use of a computer or iPad. If you would like to find out more of the work of Age UK and the Good Neighbours Scheme, please contact them on 01983 525282.

We would very much like to see more Residents come along to our events, have a cup of tea and meet up with old friends or even make new friends.

The next Residents Event is on

Wednesday 16th May 2018 at 2.30pm in the Northwood Village Hall

Our remaining Residents Events for 2018 are:

July 18^th

August 15^th

September 19^th

October 17^th

November 21^st

All these Events will be held in the Northwood Village Hall at 2.30 pm.

The next meeting of the Northwood Community Partnership will be held on

Tuesday 15^th May 2018 at 7pm in the Travellers Joy, Pallance Road.

If you are interested in helping us keep the different things happening in the Village, you are very welcome at the Residents Events or the Partnership meetings.
