A change to the arrangements …
|
Some arrangements for our March 2012 gathering have had to be changed.
We do hope that the changes will not prevent any of you from turning out.
|
First the facts, then the why:
|
The 2012 reunion will now be at the IW Community Club (previously known as the Plessey Club) in Park Road, Cowes.
|
|
The event had previously been organised to take place at the Ponda Rosa.
|
The new date is Thursday 22nd March – mid-morning until 4.00pm, with a core time between 2.00pm and 4.00pm.
(No speeches, just come and enjoy each other’s company).
|
There will now be no prior collecting of funds, but lunches can be purchased from the catering franchise (as we have done for the past 2 reunions).
|
We are running late with our communications because, understandably, many of you have declined to commit at an early date and numbers are relatively low.
|
We therefore cannot risk involving the Ponda Rosa in collecting forward funds when numbers remain uncertain.
|
Unfortunately the Community Club at Cowes has for many, many years had a fixed function booking for Wednesdays and therefore we have had to move to Thursday.
|
Several ‘seniors’ were unable to make the gathering this year, so it may be that we have a sit-down style luncheon for our reunion in 2013.
|
Please do not send me any money, as it is no longer applicable.
|
Please spread the message throughout your social groups such that we have a maximised turn out, as I am sure there are many that do not have e-mail.
|
Spouses are most welcome!

The Cowes Radar Ex-Employees Association (CREEA) meets on a regular basis for social activities.
This Association was founded in 1978, open to the retired employees and their spouses/partners from all the PLESSEY RADAR sites but primarily those from the Isle of Wight.
Since the take-over by BAE Systems, qualifying membership has been extended to all ex-employees from any BAE Systems site.
