December
This meeting was a very light-hearted meeting. Members enjoyed the Christmas tea and a quiz.
Our Christmas Lunch will be held at The New Holmwood Hotel on the 5th December.

January
We had several apologies and 1 visitor – Linda Wade – at the meeting.
Our speaker was Alan Doe from Havenstreet Railway who gave a talk on the Cowes to Newport railway line with before and after photos.
Art, Craft and Book club continues to be popular.
The rambles have been put on hold until the weather is warmer.
There was a presentation of cups –
For the general competition – Fay Bunday.
For the Best Garden Bloom – Paddy Hunter
and
For the Cookery – Anne Jonas.

February
This was an open meeting with Mark Sullivan from Age Concern giving a short report on the Good Neighbourhood Scheme.
We are holding a Table Top Sale in February.
There is to be another one of our popular Lunch and Games in March.

March
Two visitors were welcomed to the meeting – Jane Dixon and Rosemary Steward.
Terry Barrett was our speaker and gave a very interesting talk on the metal detection he does. There were some very fascinating items which he has found.
Our Lunch and Games is being held on 8th March.
Meetings are being held between us and Northwood Community Partnership and all the other various clubs in Northwood for the forthcoming Queen’s Jubilee Celebrations in June at The Scout Hall, Northwood.

April
We welcomed a visitor to the meeting – Sandra Chaplow.
The Lunch and Games held in March was a great success with our friends from Gurnard Bay WI and Freshwater WI.
Our speaker was Adrian Searle who gave us a brilliant talk on notorious women on the IOW. He had us in fits of laughter.
We will be going to Thompsons Garden Centre on 17th April for a tour to see how plants, etc., are grown. Some of us will meet for lunch beforehand.
Our 86th Birthday Lunch is being celebrated at The Isle of Wight College on the 25th April.
Birthday cards continue to be given out at our meetings to the ladies whose birthdays fall within that month.

I am sorry this is a very short summary of our meetings. Hopefully I will send them in each month now I realise that no one else has been doing it.
