NORTHWOOD COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP NEWS (Colin Palmerton, Chairman)

It is very pleasing to note that residents have appreciated the ‘Welcome Pack’. On the slightly embarrassing side, we have received one (and noted another) omission.

Please make a note, in your pack, of the following –

Coronation Avenue was omitted. Its location should be marked as being off the east side of Newport Rd, the junction being just south of Northwood Stores.

Within ‘contacts for the Police’, please add –

Crimestoppers – contactable, anonymously, on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org

The new village ‘gateway’ sign has been delivered and with fair weather should be in place by the time you read this newsletter.

The ‘Northwood Gnomes’ have now planted all the village troughs for the winter and have received some offers to ‘Adopt a Pot.’  Please read last month’s edition for details of this scheme or contact any Partnership member.  A few more ‘Adopters’ are still needed.

There will be NO MEETING of the Community Partnership in December. However, if you have ideas for any future projects to benefit our village, you are always most welcome to the next meeting, on:

Tuesday 26th January 2010 starting at 7.45pm
in the Northwood W.I. Hall, Newport Road.

Have a very peaceful, relaxing, enjoyable and safe Christmas season. Please accept thanks from all Partnership members for your kind comments and support throughout 2009.

We trust that 2010 will prove as successful for everyone living in, or visiting, this wonderful village of Northwood.
