You are hereby summoned to attend a meeting of the Planning Committee, to be held at Northwood Primary School, Wyatts Lane, Northwood, Isle of Wight on Tuesday, 19 January 2010 commencing at 6.30 pm for the transaction of the business set out in the agenda below.

1. To receive and approve any apologies for absence.
2. To receive any declarations of Members’ interests in items on the agenda.
3. To confirm and authorise the Chairman to sign the Minutes of the meeting held on 17 November 2009 (Paper A – which were circulated and noted at the meeting of the Parish Council on 1 December 2009)
4. Town and Country Planning
a. To consider the following application received and make comments in accordance with the guidance for material planning considerations listed at http://www.iwight.com/council/departments/planning/appsdip/MakingCommentsInfo.aspx
TCP/16533/M IOW Grain, Medina Wharf, Arctic Road, Cowes, Isle of Wight, PO31 7PG – Proposed siting of 4 grain silos and drying plant and associated works
b. To note the decisions taken by the Local Planning Authority since the last meeting of the Planning Committee:
i. TCP/29895 Unit 6, Somerton Industrial Park, Enterprise Way, Cowes – Conditional Planning Approval for an extension to existing mezzanine to create gym and associated facilities;
ii. LBC for conversion of existing outbuilding to provide wc facilities including associated landscaping at St John the Baptist Church, Church Lane, Cowes – Application withdrawn
iii. LBC for internal and external repairs to windows and masonry at St John the Baptist Church, Church Lane, Cowes – Application withdrawn
iv. TCPL/29866/A Internal and external repairs to windows and masonry at St John the Baptist Church, Church Lane, Cowes – Application withdrawn
PUBLIC SPEAKING
In accordance with Standing Order 27, any member of the public wishing to speak on an item on the agenda may speak at a Council meeting at the start of the agenda item for a period not exceeding 3 minutes.
When a ‘Group’ of members of the public wish to speak on an item, they will, subject to the Chairman’s discretion be required to nominate a representative who may speak for a maximum of 3 minutes.
The total time allowed for questions/representations by members of the public will not exceed ten minutes for any given item
It would assist the smooth running of the meeting if you would advise the clerk prior to the start of the meeting of your wish to speak.
