The ordinary meeting of Northwood Parish Council, to be held in the School Hall at Northwood Primary School, Wyatts Lane, Northwood, Isle of Wight on Tuesday, 3 December commencing at 6.30 pm, for the transaction of the business as set out in the agenda below.
Members of the public and press are welcome to attend.
The meeting of the Parish Council will commence immediately after the Public Forum, which will begin at 6.30 pm for the duration of 15 minutes, if necessary. This provides an opportunity for any member of the public to ask questions of members of the Parish Council
AGENDA
1. To receive and approve any apologies for absence
2. Members’ interests
To receive any declarations of Members’ interests and written requests for Dispensations on items forming the agenda
3. To receive a report by the Local Safety Neighbourhood Officer, plus an opportunity to discuss local policing priorities
4. To welcome Wendy Perera, IW Council’s Deputy Head of Planning Services (policy) to provide advice on the criteria used to set s106 agreements
5. To confirm and authorise the Chairman to sign the Minutes of the previous meetings of the Parish Council held on 5 November 2013 (Paper A)
6. To receive any matters arising on the Minutes, not requiring a resolution
7. To welcome Mr Ollie Boulter, the IW Councils Policy & Conservation Team Leader, Planning & Regulatory Services regarding the Medina Valley Area Action Plan and to make comments as part of the SA/SEA Scoping Consultation (Paper B1)(to aid discussion please also refer to Paper B2)
8. Town and Country Planning
a. To consider the following planning applications received and make comments in accordance with the guidance for material planning considerations listed at

i. TCP/31430/A 27 Nodes Road, Northwood – Demolition of garage; single storey side/rear extension to provide additional living accommodation; decking

b. To note the decision taken by the Local Planning Authority since the last meeting of the Parish Council

c. To note the Tree Officer Decision letter dated 18 November in respect of T1 Oak situated at 17 Selman Gardens, Northwood, to be reduced by 30%.(Paper C)
c. To consider the proposal for the designation of the Newport to Cowes cycleway as a Site for Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC) (Paper D)
9. To give thought to the taking over of any of the IW Council’s assets or in the provision of services within Northwood (Paper E – to follow)
10. To consider the result of discussions held with Steve Critchlow, the IW Council’s Parks Officer regarding the football pitch and play park (Paper F)
11. To consider taking part in the Remembrance Orchards scheme to commemorate The First World War, 1914 -18 (Paper G)
12. To consider all Parish Councillors being furnished with ID cards (Cllr Ward)
13. To note the letter regarding “No Cold Calling” zones (Paper H)
14. To note the rural community profile for Northwood and Cowes (Paper I – Circulated by email)

PUBLIC SPEAKING
In accordance with Standing Order 27, any member of the public wishing to speak on an item on the agenda may speak at a Council meeting at the start of the agenda item for a period not exceeding 3 minutes.
When a ‘Group’ of members of the public wish to speak on an item, they will, subject to the Chairman’s discretion be required to nominate a representative who may speak for a maximum of 3 minutes.
It would assist the smooth running of the meeting if you would advise the clerk prior to the start of the meeting of your wish to speak.
