C.H.A.R.M (Conflict History and Remembrance Museum) Newport Road, Northwood is the place
to be on Sunday 5th October 2014.
.
One of the upcoming fund-raising events to be held at the recently re-opened Museum will be an
Antiques and Collectors Fair. This new fair is being run by sisters Jennie Lewis and Doreen Gant
who have also run the successful MND Charity Antiques Fair at Northwood House for the past 10
years.
.
Jennie commented ‘This new Museum has the makings of a great tourist attraction and events venue
and, being local, we wanted to help raise funds and awareness to support the Museum in their
expansion programme’.
.
Doreen added ‘ By Coming to Have A look around the fair you will be helping us to Raise Money
for this great community venue. A generous donation from the profits will go directly to the
Museum.’
.
The fair will be open on Sunday 5th October from 10.00am – 4.00pm with admission to the fair £1.00 per
adult with accompanied children free. Goods for sale will include Militaria, Books, Silver,
Furniture, Gardenalia, China, Kitchenalia, some vinyl records and much more …
.
Visitors will be able to access the Museum (currently free while it is a ‘Work in Progress’ but
donations welcome too!) The wonderful 1940s themed café ‘Violet’s Cafe’ will be open selling a
range of delicious food including an all-day breakfast. There is a bar in the Officers’ Mess where the
Antiques Fair is taking place so visitors will be able to purchase a range of alcoholic and soft drinks.
.
There is ample FREE parking on-site and staff from the Museum will be on ‘traffic duty’ to ensure a
smooth arrival and departure.
.
Please come along and support this new event and venue.
