The Isle of Wight branch of the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association is proud to announce their 13th annual ‘Mum’s Memory Day’ event will be held on Sunday 12th March 2017 at Northwood House, Ward Avenue, West Cowes, Isle of Wight PO31 8AZ.

This Antiques and Collectors Fair is in loving memory of Mavis Summerfield who died of MND in March 2002. Her two daughters (Doreen and Jennie) both living on the Isle of Wight, organise this annual tribute to raise much needed funds for the Isle of Wight branch to help local people living with MND.

Jennie Lewis, Chair of the IOW Branch, commented ‘We look forward to welcoming supporters past, present and future to this important fund-raising event for the IOW Branch of MND. The beautiful setting of Northwood House is the perfect location for an Antiques Fair and visitors can be sure of finding an interesting mix of goods for sale’.

Doreen added ‘As there has been so much publicity recently about MND, we are sure more and more people are becoming aware of this awful disease and how indiscriminately it affects people in all walks of life, so please do help us to continue to raise funds to support local people and their families who are currently living with MND.

The event will again be sponsored by the Island’s largest independent estate agency Hose Rhodes Dickson, who in 2010 opened the Hose Rhodes Dickson Auction Rooms in Brading. Rex Gully, auctioneer and dealer from Hose Rhodes Dickson Auction Rooms, with over 40 years experience in the fine art business, will be on hand to provide FREE valuations on your precious items. Hose Rhodes Dickson will also support the Antiques and Collectors Fair, with marketing and promotion through their Island-wide network of 7 offices and the Auction Rooms in Brading, together with providing advertising for the fair in the Isle of Wight County Press.

The Antiques Fair will be open from 10.30am-3.00pm on Sunday 12th March 2017 selling a wide variety of goods including quality furniture, books, jewellery, vintage items, vinyl records, garden antiques, militaria, china, glass and much more.

Admission to the fair is £2.00 per adult with accompanied children free (all entrance fees are donated directly to the IOW branch of MND.

Refreshments and Light snacks will be available to purchase.
