The 10th annual MND Charity Antiques and Collectors Fair will be held at Northwood House, Ward
Avenue, West Cowes on SUNDAY 23rd February 2014 from 10.30am – 3.00pm.
This important event is an annual tribute day to Mavis Summerfield who sadly died of Motor
Neurone Disease (MND) in March 2002. The fair is run by her two daughters Doreen Gant and
Jennie Lewis, who both live on the Island, and are members of the MND IOW Branch committee.
Jennie commented, “It hardly seems possible we are now in our 10th year with almost £10,000 raised
so far. We rely on the generous support of Islanders and visitors alike to help us boost vital funds to
support local people living with MND”.
Doreen added, “Not only is this a vital fundraiser for MND – this is a great event in the Island
Antiques Calendar so please do come along and support us and help us to make this a bumper
anniversary year raising as much as we can for the local IOW branch of MND”.
Entrance to the fair will be £2.00 per adult or 3 for £5.00 – all accompanied children go free. There
will be the usual array of quality items for sale including furniture, wood, books (including Isle of
Wight books), china, glass, silver, jewellery, military memorabilia, gardenalia, vintage items and
much more….Tea/Coffee and light snacks will be available to purchase.
All enquiries to Doreen on 01983 200235 or Jennie on 01983 289794.

Please help us remember a wonderful person

and raise much needed funds to help IOW people with MND!
