National Armed Forces Day

NATIONAL ARMED FORCES DAY – Saturday 27th June from 1pm.
On the Island this important event will be held at Appley Park, Ryde and all serving or ex-service personnel are warmly welcome to attend and if they wish to march past with the Lord Lieutenant, Major General Martin White taking the salute.
Refreshments for marchers and their guests will be available afterwards.
There will be display stands and displays of military vehicles and boats, marching bands, "Proms in the Park" and a firework display plus cadet displays and competitions.
Admission is free and everyone is welcome at this first National Day to come along and support our service personnel both past and present for the sacrifices they make on our behalf.
