The IW Branch of Cruse Bereavement Care exists to promote the well-being of bereaved people on the Island. Feelings of grief can include acute sadness, fear, guilt, loneliness and desperation; talking to a volunteer from Cruse can help to restore hope. On the Island, a dedicated volunteer team of trained support workers give up a few hours each month to help adults and children understand their grief and cope with their loss.
A training course for new volunteers will commence early 2010, and Cruse are holding an ‘Information Morning’ on Saturday 14th November at Quay Arts from 10.00am to 12noon. If you would like to help restore hope to Island people by supporting the bereaved, why not go along for an informal chat with one of the team?
