CONGRATULATIONS!
YOU’RE A WINNER!
or is it
TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE?

The Isle of Wight Rural Community Council is working with the IW Council’s Trading Standards department to reduce the number of people who become victims of bogus traders and scams. This is a huge problem across the Island with people being tricked into paying too much for shoddy work and being tricked in lots of different ways.

To make people aware of the risks and what they can do to prevent themselves being victims of scams they are staging two performances of the Scambuster Musical. This event will be a fun and engaging way to get an important message across. There will also be information stands from agencies including the police, Age Concern and the Fire & Rescue Service as well as trade stands from Island traders approved by Trading Standards.
