Wind Turbine Exhibition 1

Partnership for Renewables (PfR) is holding two pre-submission public Exhibitions of plans for two 125m high Vestas V90 wind turbines to be sited in Parkhurst Forest.

The first Exhibition will be held on Tuesday 13th March 2012 at the Vestas Technology centre in Stag Lane between 2pm and 7pm, and the second on Wednesday 14th March 2012 at the Riverside Centre, Newport between 2pm and 7pm.

The plans will be on display and visitors will be able to view the plans, ask questions and have their say at both events.

At the same time on Wednesday 14th there will also be a local residents’ exhibition on the Parkhurst Wind Turbine Project at the Riverside centre but in a different room.

A large helium balloon will be flown at turbine height (410 ft) on Tuesday from noon to 5.30pm and Wednesday 9am to 5.30pm.

There will be a presentation on wind turbines at 5.45pm on Thursday 15th March by Dr John Yelland, engineer and physicist, at the Riverside centre, prior to the Newport Parish Council meeting there.
