NORTHWOOD COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP REPORT

At our last Residents Events, we held a minute’s silence in memory of Mrs Mary Ellis, also known as the Spitfire Pilot. She was a remarkable lady and had been to speak to us about her work delivering many planes during the war.
.
We were very pleased to welcome the Rev’d Steve Sutcliffe, our new Curate for Northwood. He thanked us and said he would be coming to visit us at our next Event.
.
Our speaker this month was Mr Alan Chick. He told us about his life and work, which was very interesting.
.
At the moment we are still trying to obtain some funds, so that we can continue. Everyone agrees that they would like us to continue our monthly Event.
.
It has been decided that our September Event, on 19th September, will be an outing to the Boat Museum in Cowes. The Museum is all on one level and arrangements are being made for tea etc. If you are interested in attending, please be at the Northwood Village Hall at 2.15pm, so that we can arrange transport. If possible, please phone me on 01983 282242 (answer machine) or Alan on 01983 296020 and let us know if you will be attending.

Our next Residents Event after the outing is on Wednesday October 17th 2018 at 2.30pm in the Northwood Village Hall.
.
Future event will be November 21st 2018 at 2.30pm in the Northwood Village Hall.

The next meeting of the Northwood Community Partnership will be held on Tuesday 18th September 2018 at 7pm in the Travellers Joy, Pallance Road.
.
If you are interested in helping us keep the different things happening in the Village, you are very welcome to the Residents Events or the Partnership meetings.

For information purposes and as a reminder, Northwood Parish Council has bought a Defibrillator. This has been placed on the front wall of the Northwood Village Hall. All the information is placed next to it, so that it may be used in an emergency.
