NORTHWOOD COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP REPORT

At our Residents event in January, our Speaker was Mark O’Sullivan from Age UK Isle of Wight. He returned to give us an update on the Good Neighbours Scheme. It is working very well, with many volunteers going round the Island giving help, assistance and friendship to those who are in need of support. There are many tasks that are carried out by them, to hopefully make life easier for a lot of Island residents.

At our February event, we were pleased to have Ray Harrington-Vail from the Footprint Trust. He gave a very interesting talk on several subjects, including ‘Heat & Eat’. He explained how funds can be accessed for insulation, care of appliances and many other issues in the home. The Footprint Trust is always there to help as many residents as they can.

At our next event in MARCH, we are very pleased to have Mrs Mary Ellis visit us, to tell about her wonderful life with Spitfires. We are sure this will be most exciting and hope many of you will come along to hear her.

in the W. I. HALL, NORTHWOOD
