NORTHWOOD COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP REPORT

Due to our monthly Events taking place after the deadline for the Northwood News, I will have to give a back-dated report.
.
In January we had an interesting talk and slide show by Mr Mark Earp on ‘Wight Women at War’. It was very entertaining and we all learnt about some famous people, who had and still have, connections to the Island. One of the slides showed the Maids at Osborne House, in which Miss Kathy Barter was pictured. Kathy has been to speak to us, dressed in her uniform and it was lovely to see her with her colleagues.

In March we have Helen Butler coming to give us a talk on Red Squirrels. This should be of interest to us all.
.
Our monthly events are still very popular and we look forward to welcoming new residents to our friendly afternoon.
.

The Community Partnership would welcome any resident who is interested in the wellbeing of the Village, to attend our bi-monthly meetings. Further information can be obtained from any of the people above.

NORTHWOOD VILLAGE PRODUCE ASSOCIATION

.

At a recent Extra Ordinary Meeting, it was decided, via a vote of members present, to revert back to the original name, due to unforeseen issues. The Association will continue to hold monthly meetings as usual. Further information will be published in the County Press Village Talk.
