At our last event we celebrated Valentine’s Day, (a bit late and a bit of fun), with heart-shaped chocolates as well as the usual selection of biscuits. Our speaker was Mark O’Sullivan from Age UK. He gave various information of the work that Age UK does and help and advice they are able to give to residents.

At a recent Neighbourhood Watch meeting at Cowes Police Station, we were reminded to be aware of recent phone calls people were receiving from someone supposedly working for your Bank. They were asking for your account number and pin number.
PLEASE REMEMBER the Bank will NEVER ask you for these details. Another item, to be very cautious of – people knocking your door, telling you your roof or some part of your property is in need of repair. They will offer to do the work and ask for the money in advance. PLEASE do not part with any money or Bank details. If this should happen, try to get the number plate of the vehicle or a name on it and contact Trading Standards Office on 01983 823370.
