At our October meeting we had a very interesting talk from Sharon Bradley. Sharon and her husband Martin are quite well known for racing their nine Snostopin Siberian Huskies. We were fortunate that Sharon brought Zora and Magick along. She explained how they are trained and what their diet contains. During the summer, they are up at 4.30am to train them. Also Sharon shows some of them at Crufts Dog Show in London and has won several awards. During the winter they travel all over the country racing and usually finish in Scotland, hopefully in the snow. We were very grateful to Sharon for entertaining us and everyone enjoyed the afternoon and the dogs especially loved having lots of fuss and treats.

Over the past months, we have been trying to obtain funding so that we can carry on our Residents Events. We have been very fortunate to have been given a grant from the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Fund.

To this end our Residents Event for November is taking the form of an ‘early’ Christmas Lunch.
