NORTHWOOD PARISH COUNCIL

Minutes of the meeting of the Planning Committee held at Northwood Primary School, Wyatts Lane, Northwood, Isle of Wight on Tuesday, 21 October 2008, commencing at 8.00 pm.

Present: Councillors Peter Brooker (Chairman), Colin Cramp, Paul Fuller, Roger Mazillius, Colin Palmerton, John Pullen, Eileen Turner-Palmerton

 There were no members of the public present.

10. Minutes of the meeting held on 16 September 2008

 RESOLVED :

 THAT the Minutes of the Meeting held on 16 September 2008 be confirmed as a    true record and that the Chairman be authorized to sign the Minutes on    behalf of the Planning Committee.

11. Declarations of Interest

 There were no declarations of interest made at this stage.

12. Town and Country Planning

 To give consideration of the following applications received and to make comment in  accordance with the guidance for material planning considerations listed at  http://www.iwight.com/council/departments/planning/appsdip/MakingCommentsInfo.aspx

 TCP/21271/2 Somerton Industrial Park, Newport Road, Cowes – Construction of a steel  framed, metal clad light industrial works-shop space of 1,100 sq.m with 550 sq.m of  office space on the first floor level, plus access roads and parking spaces.

 RESOLVED :

 THAT no material planning objections were raised.

13. Letter from Mr Bill Murphy, Head of Planning Services

 A letter had been received from the Isle of Wight Council advising of the consent  for work to be undertaken to trees on land adjacent to 127 Wyatts Lane, Northwood.   The consent was valid for 2 years from the date of the letter.

 RESOLVED :

 THAT the letter dated 6 October 2008 in respect of the IW Tree 
 Preservation Order 2001 on land between 127 and 133 Wyatts Lane, Northwood, be  noted.

There being no further items of business, the Chairman closed the meeting at 8.05 pm.
