Cowes-Deauville Twinning Association

The Association was pleased to welcome eight guests from Deauville who were all hosted by members in their homes. They arrived on Friday and were received at a welcome dinner at the Woodvale Hotel, which was attended by Paul Fuller, the current Mayor of Cowes.

As the Saturday was the day of the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markel, our visitors were keen to watch the ceremony, which they all thoroughly enjoyed. This was followed by a fun horse race evening and American supper at Northwood Village Hall.

On Sunday we took our guests to Osborne House for a full tour of the house and gardens and had a light lunch in the Terrace Restaurant. As a farewell on the last evening we attended a formal evening meal at the New Holmwood with lovely views over the Solent. This was a very successful visit and was enjoyed by all who took part.
