North Wight Rangers have camped and have been to Salisbury for the region heat of the Search for a Guiding Star competition; one of the Rangers from Cowes took part in the competition, having been selected in the local heats previously.
Gurnard Guides have had a successful and fun camp; the Guides camped with girls from Ventnor and three mainland units and took part in lots of activities together during the week. Also some Guides have been dragon boating and the girls have done raft building and other outdoor activities.
Gurnard and Northwood Brownies have also had a good time, both within their units and at the County ‘Wild West’ fun day with other Island Brownies.
Cowes Rainbows have done lots of different activities in their unit meetings and enjoyed meeting other Rainbows at their county fun day at Corf.
We have five successful units in North Wight but these can only run because of the hard work and enthusiasm of our team of adult leaders and supporters.
If you would like more details of units in North Wight or have a daughter interested in joining (Rainbows is for age five upwards), or you are an adult who could help in some way please get in touch with the District Commissioner for North Wight:
Jane Peakall on 01983 521274
