Elisabeth Hamilton welcomed members to the meeting, gave several apologies and distributed Birthday cards.
There is to be another theatre trip to The Mayflower in Southampton to see South Pacific.
We had a very interesting speaker from The Street Pastors on the IOW – a Mr Ousted. He told us of all the work being done since the scheme has been operating. It was actually started in London by Les Issacs in January 2003. It is now going world-wide with Pastors in Antigua, Bermuda, Barbados and various other countries. The main areas covered on the Island are Ryde, Newport and Ventnor with them coming to Cowes during Cowes Week and New Years Eve. There are now some School Pastors who are at some school gates before and after school. Mrs Edwards gave the vote of thanks.
