Somerton Middle School Open Day

SOMERTON MIDDLE SCHOOL
Were you a pupil or a member of staff at Somerton Middle School?
Somerton Middle School will be closing in July 2011, as the Island is changing to the two-tier schooling system.
So that ex-pupils and staff can visit the school one last time before it closes, Somerton are holding an Open Day/Reunion on
Saturday 18th June
from 3.00pm into the evening.
This will be a chance to meet up with old friends and teachers, and see how the school has changed since you were there!
Stay for the evening to listen to ex-pupil bands and singers, and enjoy a BBQ or Hog Roast (obviously there will have to be a charge for the food and drink).
We are looking for:
• Memorabilia to display around the school (photos/examples of work/stories and memories of the school, teachers, friends, school trips etc.)
• ex-pupils/staff bands or singers who will be able to perform during the late afternoon/evening.
Please contact the school if you have anything we could use, if you would be able to attend the evening’s entertainment, or if you would like more information – we would like to have an idea of approximate numbers for the evening event.
