A sacrifice at pagan shrine,
excited breath and ardent cheek;
when lawless lips’ more potent wine
makes eyes with silent rapture speak.
When pounding heart and pulsing breast,
divine and man-made law dismiss;
to learn at ageless Pan’s behest,
the magic of a secret kiss.
